ABOUT ME
ABOUT ME
My visual creativity was a gift from my grandmother, an effusive and delightful old woman and the best friend a shy little six-year-old boy could've asked for. She was a Hungarian Romani (she'd say gypsy) who immigrated to the U.S. shortly after her freedom from Auschwitz. I still remember feeling the papery skin on her wrist, fascinated by the little numbers that never washed off.
Surviving the holocaust gave her an intense appreciation for the world. She found beauty everywhere she looked and painted every single day. She taught me her craft, encouraged my talent and showed me how creativity could entrance people and affect the world in very real ways. She said it was a kind of magic -- but the spell only truly worked if you put a piece of yourself into it.
I took her wisdom to heart and built a rewarding life around creativity. There's nothing quite like rolling up my sleeves, beginning a new project and feeling that first spark of inspiration. I've worn many hats throughout my career, but in time I've learned the closer I am to the work, the brighter I shine.
Art & Design isn't just my career or my passion. It's who I am. I've spent my whole life chasing after the magic my grandmother spoke of, always striving to learn and improve. I never fail to love what I do and work as hard as I can. Everything I make contains a piece of me, and deserves my very best effort.
