DICE GAMES SERIES

After several successful game launches, Brybelly had hit its stride, and it could not have been at a better time. Through research we had zeroed in on a market we knew we could target and dominate: classic dice games. Bunco, Farkle and other unlicensed classics enjoyed broad support on all major ecommerce platforms, but customers were making do with game designs from the 80's.

Despite enjoying solid market activity, the competition felt simply out of touch. With clean, flat designs full of kinetic energy and a tangy, tropical color palette, our Farkle series launched on Amazon and won top billing in under a month. This success paved the way for other high-quality alternatives, as well as unique offerings like our wild west-themed Last Chip Standing games.

BRYBELLY ELITE PLAYING CARDS

Brybelly began its journey as a poker chip wholesale company, and its initial catalog of products were focused on gambling supplies. After we had branched out and diversified our product base, we decided to revisit this area. Our new product and packaging designs were of a much higher quality, and we felt it was prudent to enforce the new standard across all our offerings.

The first priority was a proprietary deck of playing cards and associated brand. This project would then serve as a scaffold for subsequent efforts. I illustrated all 54 cards in the deck as well as the card backs, deck boxes, retail displays and branding. These assets are of immense value to Brybelly to this day, having since been remixed hundreds of times to create a diverse array of new products.

MODERNIZED CLASSIC GAMES

Capitalizing on previous successes in tabletop game development, our team of marketers created a plan for rapidly expanding our catalog of games. Putting your own spin on a traditional game such as chess is far less labor-intensive than developing a new game completely from scratch. As with our push into dice-based games, we found numerous opportunities within the market.

Our strategy entailed creating a premium product with a contemporary aesthetic and plenty of design-added value, then solidifying our position by competing on cost. In many cases we offered a unique take on the game, as with "Faerie" Chess and its set of additional pieces with unique movement patterns. These games are chock full of personality, as shown in the examples below.
